REQUIREMENTS:

Master or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Application, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Security System, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, any Engineering field, Math, Physics or related Studies.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

In the alternative, will accept Bachelor or foreign equivalent plus five years of progressive experience in job offered, software engineer, software consultant, system engineer, programmer or related work. Must be able to travel temporarily to client sites throughout the U.S. with expenses paid by the employer.

JOB DUTIES:

Coordinate changes to computer databases, test and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems. Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases. Approve, schedule, plan, and supervise the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems such as the installation of new databases. Develop data model describing data elements and how they are used, following procedures and using pen, template or computer software. Develop methods for integrating different products so they work properly together such as customizing commercial databases to fit specific needs. Develop standards and guidelines to guide the use and acquisition of software and to protect vulnerable information. Establish and calculate optimum values for database parameters, using manuals and calculator.
