Job Title: Legal Consultant (MS+2)
REQUIREMENTS: Masters Degree in Law with emphasis on Business Immigration, Commercial Law and Legal Research with at least two years of experience in the related field.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Proficiency in Internet, MS Suite of Applications and Case Management Software Systems with excellent written, verbal and analytical skills. Temporary travel required at expenses paid by the employer.
JOB DUTIES: Using a good understanding of complex laws related to Business Immigration, Commercial Law and Legal Research gained through education and experience in the related field; Maintain excellent case management systems using in-house and global software systems on daily basis while overseeing compliance of immigrant and nonimmigrant petitions in corporate restructuring, recruitment procedures, labor market survey process, collection and analysis of employees data, I-9s, Audit, Program Electronic Review Management, State Workforce Agency, Foreign labor certification data center, online wage library, iCert, in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, procedures and from relevant authorities; Assist and Liaison between the Executive, Human Resource Manager and in-house/offshore attorneys in review of Corporate Services Agreements, Asset and Liability Purchase Agreements, US and Overseas Corporate Restructuring, Acquisitions, Employment Agreements in regular basis; With assistance of counsel when needed; review US and foreign corporate legal documents, draft appeals, motion to reopen-reconsider, response to request for evidence, intent to deny and audits while reviewing, analyzing and performing comprehensive legal research of Federal Register, Code of Federal Regulations, Immigration and Nationality Laws, Adjudicator’s Field Manual, United States Immigration and Citizenship Services Memos, Case Laws and Administrative Appeals Office Decisions etc. using LexisNexis, WestLaw, FindLaw, and Library of Congress etc in regular basis.
